Teknorep 550 Natural Hydraulic Lime

Product description
It is a special cement-free product prepared for historical buildings. It is hydraulic lime produced to be used in the production of Khorasan mortar.

Usage areas
• In the repair or strengthening of historical masonry structures,
• Repairing cracks in masonry domes and vaults,
• In stone, brick and masonry works of existing historical buildings,
• In plastering constructions where high water vapor permeability is required,
• Restoration applications and mortar, joint and repair applications in green buildings,
• It is used as a binder in the preparation of Khorasan mortar to be used in joint manufacturing.

Application Instructions
The materials specified in the mortar analysis are measured and mixed in the required amounts. The amount of water and TEKNOREP 550 specified in the Khorasan mortar formula is added to the mixture and mixing is continued until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.

Attention should be paid to ensure that the surfaces to be repaired and plastered of historical masonry structures are solid, dust-free and clean. All kinds of oil, grease, rust, etc. that will weaken the adherence. Substances must be thoroughly cleaned from the surface. The wall surface to be applied must be moistened beforehand in order to improve the adhesion and setting time of the mortar. If there is a water flow on the surface, it should be closed with the help of a suitable plug and the water should be drained. There should be no free water on the surface to prevent adhesion. During the application, the mortar is expected to absorb its water and the surface is finished as desired with a steel or wooden trowel by sprinkling water on the drained mortar with a plasterer brush. Multiple coat applications should be made after the previous coat has hardened. Precautions should be taken against fast drying in open area and large surface applications. Rapid dehydration with wet bags or water for 1 - 2 days should be tolerated.

Surface and Ambient Temperature: (+)5°C - (+)35°C

Application Method / Equipment
• In order for the material to complete its setting, the ambient and ground temperature must not fall below the minimum allowable temperature.
• For exterior applications, the surface should be protected from sun, wind, rain and frost for the first 24-48 hours after the application.

Consumption: Density 1.65 ± 0.1 kg/lt.

Cleaning: After application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Before the product is fully cured, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.

Cleaning of Equipment: Equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.

Pot life: Approx. 30 minutes at 20 °C
