Teknobond 700 Epoxy Based Joint Filler and Adhesive

Product description
It is an epoxy resin-based, two-component adhesive and joint filler that is resistant to chemicals and bacteria, can be applied easily and can be cleaned with water.

Application Instructions
Surface Quality: Joints and joint surfaces must be dry and free from all kinds of dust, dirt, weak and loose particles, cement grout residues, oil and grease.

Surface Preparation: Joints and joint surfaces must be cleaned using appropriate methods in order to ensure maximum adhesion strength, and it must be ensured that the ceramic adhesive used is cured.

In order to prevent TEKNOBOND 700 from sticking to the floor covering and not to waste time and money for cleaning afterwards, masking tape is adhered to the floor covering in a way that does not cover the joint beforehand. After the application is finished, the tape is removed and thrown away.

Mixing: After adding component B to component A, mix for 2-3 minutes with a low speed electric mixer (maximum 400 rpm) until a homogeneous color is obtained.

Application Notes / Limitations
• TEKNOBOND 700 can be applied with a mortar gun. After filling the prepared mortar into the gun, attach a suitable nozzle and fill the joints.
• Clean the material overflowing from the joints with warm water and a sponge. Pressure and washing should be avoided in cleaning by rubbing.
• Immediately after application, before it hardens; tools, with warm water; hands should be washed with clean warm water and soap. Hardened grout can only be removed mechanically.
• Do not use below the minimum allowable temperature for the material to complete its hardening. Low temperatures will slow curing, while higher temperatures will accelerate curing. Pot life will also vary depending on temperatures.
• The product may cause irritation in contact with the skin. Protective gloves, masks and goggles should be used. Before starting work, a protective cream can be applied to the hands. In case of contact of the mortar with the eyes, the eyes should be immediately washed with warm water and consult a doctor.
• If it stays under 0°C for a long time, crystallization may be observed in the product. If the crystals are dissolved by bringing the product back to room temperature, it can be used without any problems.
• Before applying Teknobond 700 between ceramic tiles, the adhesive must be cured.
• Color loss and yellowing may occur in the product that hardens due to direct sunlight (UV).
