Product description
Cement based, flex joint filler for ceramics, tiles, marble and granite specially designed for high performance pools. It is water repellant because it contains silicon.

Application Instructions
Before the joint filler application, the ceramic adhesive must be cured and the joints must be completely free of other construction residues that will prevent adhesion. The joint depth should be at least 2/3 of the ceramic thickness. For easier cleaning, surface protector can be applied on the upper surface of porous and absorbent coating materials such as cotton, clinker, glossy granite ceramic, taking care not to contaminate the joint spaces. When coating materials with high absorbency are used, when applying in hot and windy weather, the joints should be moistened with clean water.

20 kg of TEKNODERZ EX POOL should be slowly poured onto 6.4 – 6.8 liters of water and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should be done with a low speed mixer. Any additives not specified in the application instructions should not be added. Adding more or less water than specified may cause cracking, dusting and color defects. The prepared mortar should be rested for 5 minutes to mature. It should be mixed again for 1-2 minutes before starting the application. The mortar should be spread on the surface and the joint gaps should be filled with diagonal movements with a rubber trowel and the excess should be scraped off from the surface. When the material filled into the joint space loses its water and becomes dull, usually after 10-20 minutes, the surface should be cleaned in circular motions with the help of a damp sponge. This period may be shortened in applications made in unsuitable ambient conditions such as direct sun and wind, among coating materials with high absorbency or sun-expanded. If the wiping process is done prematurely or with a very watery sponge, the problem of fluctuation in color may be encountered. The sponge should be cleaned at frequent intervals. After making sure that TEKNODERZ EX POOL is dry enough that it will not drain from the joint, the residues remaining on the surface should be cleaned with a dry cloth.

If there are mortar residues on the surface due to incorrect cleaning, cleaning can be done with cement remover by following the application instructions 10 days after the grouting application.

Application Notes / Limitations
• Expired or crusted mortar in the container should be discarded.
• After application, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water.
• When TEKNODERZ EX POOL is applied in very hot, dry and windy conditions, it is recommended to sprinkle water on it a few hours after the application to improve the final performance.
