Teknofay 200 Paste Type Adhesive

Product description
It is an emulsion polymer based, high performance, ready-to-use paste type adhesive with extended working time.

Usage areas
• For interior application of small and medium sized coating materials such as floor and wall ceramics in wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, screed,
• Ceramic coating applications on old ceramics, mosaics, marbles,
• Adhering ceramics on gypsum board, gypsum plaster and painted floors,

Application details
Surface Preparation: Care should be taken to ensure that the surface is cured and sound. The surface must be free of residues that will prevent adhesion. Surface defects should be corrected with Teknorep or Teknoself.

Application Instruction
• It should be mixed before starting the application. In order to obtain a better adhesion surface, after the product is spread on the surface with the flat part of the trowel, it should be combed with the toothed part of the trowel selected in accordance with the tile size.
• Tiles should be adhered by applying force, preferably with a rubber hammer, on the notched mortar within 30 minutes.
• This period may be shortened in applications made under unsuitable ambient conditions such as high temperature, low humidity, and wind.
• Pasting should not be done on the expired product, the product should be scraped from the surface.
• When applying on painted floors, the durability of the paint should be checked and the swelling parts should be scraped.
• Point or linear application should be made in the bonding of insulation boards.
• Teknofay EX or Teknofay Flex Adhesive Mortar should be preferred in applications made with tiles with low water absorption such as granite.
• The packaging should be tightly closed when not in use. Expired or crusted mortar in the container should be discarded.
• After application, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
• Direct contact of the tiles with Teknofay 200 with water should be avoided for at least 10 days.
• In ceramic applications on old ceramics, the drying time of the product may increase to 1-2 weeks depending on the ambient conditions and the ceramic size.

Storage: It should be stored between 5°C - 23°C, away from direct sunlight.
