Teknofay Superflex 2K Ceramic Adhesive

Product description
It is a two component, cement based, high performance, long working time, very flexible, reduced slip adhesive.

Usage areas
• It is used for safely bonding coating materials such as ceramic, granite, porcelain ceramic, marble up to 30 m high to the exterior of buildings.
• It should not be used for bonding coating materials larger than 60x60 cm up to 15 m high and 40x40 cm in height up to 30 m on exteriors.
• It gives excellent results in the application of coating materials such as ceramic, natural stone, travertine, decorative brick, granite, porcelain ceramic, clinker, jeans on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, screed, both horizontally and vertically, indoors and outdoors.
• It is used in places with heavy pedestrian and freight traffic such as shopping-business centers, hospitals, schools.

Application Instructions
Surface quality: The surface must be free of residues that will prevent adhesion. Care should be taken to ensure that the surface is cured and sound. Defects on the application surface should be corrected with TEKNOREP.

Surface preparation: The dusty surface behind the ceramic should be moistened and wiped.

Mixing process: 25 kg of TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX should be poured slowly onto the liquid component and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should be done with a low speed mixer. Water should not be added to the liquid component. The prepared mortar should be rested for 5-1O minutes to mature. It should be mixed again for 1-2 minutes before starting the application. Combined bonding method should be preferred in exterior applications. The tiles should be adhered by applying force on the notched mortar within 30 minutes. This period may be shortened in applications made under unsuitable ambient conditions such as high temperature, low humidity, and wind. Adhesion should not be done on the expired mortar, the mortar should be scraped from the surface. Large sized coating materials should be adhered in the horizontal direction and the finished row should not be moved to the next row before it gains its initial strength. Expired or crusted mortar in the container should be discarded. After application, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Tiles adhered with TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX should be avoided for at least 24 hours in direct contact with water.

Application Notes / Limitations
