Teknobond 400 Anchorage and Assembly Mortar
It is a two-component, high-strength epoxy material with thixotropic consistency, specially developed for bonding PVC, TPE dilatation membranes to dilatation, for overhead and horizontal applications.
Usage areas
• In bonding dilatation tapes to concrete,
• In the repair and bonding of all kinds of materials such as concrete, marble, stone,
• It is used for bonding materials such as tiles and granite to glossy surfaces.
Features and Advantages
• It is a very easy material to apply.
• It is water and gas impermeable.
• Resistant to chemicals and abrasion.
• Provides excellent adherence to concrete.
• Does not shrink.
Application details
Surface Quality: The application surface must be dry and free from all kinds of dust, dirt, weak and loose particles, cement grout residues, oil and grease. The concrete substrate must be clean, strong and have sufficient compressive strength (at least 25 N/mm²), with a pulloff strength of at least 1.5 N/mm².
Surface Preparation: Masking tape is placed on both upper sides of the dilatation so that the dilatation tape comes off properly and the epoxy does not scatter around.
Mixing: After adding component B to component A, mix for 2-3 minutes with a low speed electric mixer (max. 400 rpm) until a homogeneous color is obtained.
Application Method / Equipment
Teknobond 400 D epoxy is applied to the right and left upper side of the dilatation at least 5 cm. It is then adhered to the dilatation tape. It is seen that the epoxy comes out of the holes of the tape. The next day, a second layer is applied on the tape, slightly overflowing to the edges. It is recommended to make an inverted or straight omega ( Ω ) in the middle of the dilatation so that the tape does not immediately deplete its elasticity.
Consumption: 1.00 kg/meter for two coats, depending on the concrete surface, workmanship and dilatation tape size.
Cleaning: Material spilled and contaminated with application equipment can be cleaned with Tekno Cleaning Thinner.
Application Notes / Limitations
• It should not be applied if the temperature is below (+)5 °C.
• Solvent free, not thinner.
• While mixing and applying, use rubber gloves and goggles to protect your skin and eyes from being affected. Especially the eyes should be carefully protected.
• If it splashes into your eyes, rinse with plenty of water for about 15 minutes and consult a physician immediately.
• Do not add any foreign substance or water to the product.
• Since the product will harden immediately when mixed in extremely hot weather, the mixture should be made to be consumed.
• The material spilled and contaminated with the application equipment can be cleaned with Tekno Cleaning Thinner.
