Teknofay Superflex Ceramic Adhesive

Product description
It is a cement based, high performance, long working time, very flexible, reduced slip adhesive.

Usage areas
• It is used for safely adhering coating materials such as ceramic, granite, porcelain ceramic, marble up to 30 m high to the exterior of buildings. It should not be used for bonding coating materials larger than 60x60 cm up to 15 m high and 40x40 cm in height up to 30 m on exteriors.
• It is used in places with heavy pedestrian and freight traffic such as shopping-business centers, hospitals, schools.
• It gives excellent results in the application of coating materials such as ceramic, natural stone, travertine, decorative brick, granite, porcelain ceramic, clinker, jeans on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, screed, both horizontally and vertically, indoors and outdoors.
• In areas with wet volumes such as swimming pools, bathrooms and water tanks,
• Underfloor heated surfaces, heated pools, thermal pools and swimming pools,
• It is used on wall and floor tiles of cold storage rooms.

Application Instructions
Surface preparation: The surface must be free of residues that will prevent adhesion. Care should be taken to ensure that the surface is cured and solid. Defects on the application surface should be corrected with TEKNOREP.

Mixing process: The dusty surface behind the ceramic should be moistened and wiped. 25 kg of TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX should be slowly poured onto water and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should be done with a low speed mixer. The prepared mortar should be rested for 5-10 minutes to mature. It should be mixed again for 1-2 minutes before starting the application. Combined bonding method should be preferred in exterior applications. The tiles must be adhered by applying force on the notched mortar within 30 minutes. This period may be shortened in applications made under unsuitable ambient conditions such as high temperature, low humidity, and wind. Adhesion should not be done on the expired mortar, the mortar should be scraped from the surface. Large sized coating materials should be adhered in the horizontal direction and the finished row should not be moved to the next row before it gains its initial strength. Expired or crusted mortar in the container should be discarded. After application, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth. The tiles bonded with TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX should be avoided for at least 24 hours in direct contact with water.

Health and Safety Applications: TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX contains cement and may cause an allergic reaction. Work in a well-ventilated room or outdoors.

Storage Conditions: It should be stored in its original package, in a dry and cool environment, away from freezing weather conditions. Protect from moisture. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. It should be kept away from children. Please see MSDS for detailed information.

Application Notes / Limitations
• Consumption may vary depending on the size of the tile to be used, the surface structure and the depth of the trowel tooth.
• TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX application should not be done in very hot, rainy and windy weather. If the temperature is less than +5°C and higher than +35°C, suitable air temperature should be expected for the application.
• In outdoor applications, the application surface should be protected from direct sunlight, wind and freezing weather conditions and rain for the first 24 hours. Please note that ceramics or other coating materials applied TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX must stay away from water for at least 24 hours.
• Highly absorbent surfaces should be moistened well before application.
• Water or any other substance should not be added to the TEKNOFAY SUPERFLEX mixture that is left to dry.
