Teknofay Flex Ceramic and Granite Adhesive

Product description
It is a cement-based adhesive mortar with high adhesion strength, flexible, with reduced slip, used for bonding products such as ceramics, porcelain, granite, marble, natural stone, glass mosaic and pressed bricks, with extended working time. ( C2 = Cement-based adhesive with improved additional properties, T = Reduced slip, E = Extended open time S1= Flexible)

Usage areas
• Indoors and outdoors, on terraces and balconies,
• In places that are constantly exposed to water, such as swimming pools,
• In the application of 40x40 cm and larger sized coating materials,
• In places where there is heavy pedestrian and freight traffic or where temperature changes are high,
• Bonding of materials such as granite ceramic, marble and natural granite,
• Where the temperature difference is high,
• In applications on gypsum plaster, gypsum panel, gas concrete and exposed concrete,
• It gives excellent results in ceramic and granite bonding works on exteriors.

Application Instructions
Surface Quality: Surfaces should be clean, smooth, solid and at the same time in balance, weak parts should be removed and damaged surfaces should be repaired with TEKNOREP. The surface should be free of oil, dirt and rust.

Surface Preparation: If the application will be made on marble, ceramic and palletite, the surfaces should be roughened. The concrete floor should be moist but not puddled.

Mixing: 6.0 - 6.5 liters of clean, clear water taken from normal ambient temperature is poured into a clean container free of all kinds of substances preventing adhesion. Teknofay FLEX, which is in 25 kg bag in powder form, is poured into the container filled with water. It is mixed with a low-speed mixer with a ceramic mixer tip attached until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. The mortar obtained at the end of the process should be rested for 5-10 minutes and mixed again for 1-2 minutes until it becomes homogeneous.

Application Notes / Limitations
• The product may cause irritation in contact with the skin. Work clothes, protective gloves, masks and goggles should be used. Before starting work, a protective cream can also be applied to the hand. In case of contact with the eyes, the eyes should be immediately washed with warm water and a doctor should be consulted.
• It must be protected under (+) 5°C ambient conditions, it must be covered with nylon or heat insulation plates must be laid to prevent the product from being exposed to frost.
• It must be protected at temperatures above (+) 35 °C, it must be covered with nylon or heat insulation plates must be laid to prevent the product from being exposed to sudden water loss.
• Joint filling should be started at least 24 hours after Teknofay FLEX application.
• Do not add foreign matter.
• After the application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Cleaning should be done with water before Teknofay FLEX is fully cured and hardened. Immediately after the application, hands and face should be washed thoroughly with soap and warm water.
• Equipment should be washed with water immediately after the application, before the mortar hardens.
• Combined method should be preferred for applications to be made in places with heavy pedestrian and freight traffic or where temperature changes are high.

Storage conditions
It should be stored in its unopened original package, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost.
